Happy Thanksgiving

Kaj and I really wanted to stay home for the Holidays this year with the new baby and being away from home last year for the deployment. We've been wanting to fry a turkey for a long time so we went and bought the fryer and did our homework researching how to fry a turkey safely and make a yummy dinner. The food network didn't let us down, it was beautiful and really delicious. We'll definitely be doing this again!! Kaj ran the show outside with the fryer and I got everything together inside with the help of my mom! Everything was delicious. We are so thankful for being home and having our beautiful baby born happy and healthy.

Time to pull it out and check it...

Checking the internal temperature of the turkey...

Not quite done...needs another 15 minutes.

The proud chef!

Kaj carved the turkey with the experienced help of Sarah's Grandpa Millar...they did a great job!

Mashed potatoes, creamed pearl onions, gravy, green bean casserole, cornbread stuffing, whole wheat rolls, sweet potatoes, cranberry orange salad and turkey...we had so much to be thankful for!

Dinner wore her out!
