Welcome To The World!

Gabrielle (Gabbye) Christine Petersen was born at 1408 on Friday September 25, 2009 by surprise (not emergency) C-Section. She weighed in at 7 pounds and 10 ounces and measured 20.5 inches.

Sarah started having contractions on the evening of the 24th, but they were a good 10-15 minutes apart. Friday morning after eating some oatmeal and still having some contractions she laid down and a few minutes later at about 8:15 in the morning her water broke. We loaded up the car and dropped the dog off at her favorite doggie kennel and headed to the hospital. We found out after a couple of hours by ultrasound that she was in a breech position and a C-Section was scheduled for 1:30.



Gabbye had the cord around her neck three times so it turned out that the C-Section was the safest delivery for her for more than one reason. We have enjoyed getting to know each other over the last couple of days. Gabbye has met some of our friends as well as family. Thank you to all of you for your prayers and support over the last couple of days. Here are a few pictures to show you our little girl.
